Lunt surname Liverpool and connection to Caldwell

Post by George7 »

Hi MaryA,
I have a genetic connection to Angelawaldenconahey75 and it could be through the Caldwell- Quine surnames. It was while I was searching for Caldwell's that I saw your Lunt surname in your posts and I wonder if I have a Lunt connection?

A William Lunt was a witness at my Aunt Cisse Whittaker's wedding in 1939.
In the 1881 census Peter Lunt, with his daughter's Mary and Catherine, is living beside my grandmother Sarah Elizabeth McCormick in Louisa St Everton.
William E Lunt was a mourner at the funeral of my Uncle Robert Flangan who died 1954.

This is my first post on this forum and if we are related I could provide personal information with a pm. :)

Hello George and welcome to the forum.

If I'm correct, Peter was part of the family in Swan Row in 1841. Although I haven't discovered any connection with my line I feel that somewhere, even if only very tenuously, there may be a connection because of the vicinity of the family of Forshaws living nearby.

My ancestors Richard Lunt and Hannah Forshaw married at St James, Toxteth in 1805, so Thomas Forshaw in 1841 may be a nephew.

I have no stronger connection than that to your branch at present, sorry.
