Postcards of St Helens

Post by MaryA »

http://www.sthelenshistory.co.uk/

This collection of postcards covers many events from St Helens' past, including visits from Royalty, Colonel Cody aka Buffalo Bill, the building of the Town Hall, the Town Hall Farm, the laying of foundations stones for many of the town's buildings, the coming of the railway and a notorious character called Frederick Deeming, once reported to be a possible suspect in the Jack the Ripper murders.

The webmaster is also interested in the names on the War Memorial and also if anybody has any old photographs that he could put on the site.
