If anyone has the chance of looking for a grave at West Derby Cemetery, it would be helpful for his chance of being recorded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
He is:
WILLIAM JOHN WALKER, Lance Corporal, Royal Marines Light Infantry, died 5 June 1917. Grave no: Section 3, no: 2259
He is not likely to be under a CWGC headstone, as these details have only recently come to light . He is currently named on the Brookwood Memorial in Surrey.
Photographs of any inscription would be very helpful, otherwise a note of the details.
Many thanks,
Daggers
Royal Marine's Grave at West Derby Cemetery
Again there is a Plan of West Derby Cemeterywhich might prove useful, although I see three possible areas - C/E 3, RC3 and Gen3 although luckily they all seem to be not too far away from each other and from the entrance.
