BIVRI Lookup

Post by colette »

Hi this is to do with the haswell case..

Charles Haswell & Ann Almond married St James Liverpool 1811

Children

Charles born Liverpool 1809 IGI
John b Chester 1813 Cheshire parish Records
Harriet b Chester 1815 Cheshire parish records
William b Chester 1818 no baptism found birth place taken from Census Records,
Peggy b Chester 1827 Cheshire Parish Records

Charles the father dies 1827 on Peggy's bap record it says father Late Charles Haswell....

What i am wondering is can someone check the BVRI'S or Ancestrys Bap records to see were there more children for Charles & Ann
as there is a big gap between William & Peggy of 9 years...

Its possible that Samuel Haswell's father maybe one of these missing children..dont know why William's bap record isnt on the Chester parish records....and all the others before and after him are..

Ann Haswell remarried in 1829 St Johns Chester to Humphrey Gaulton

By 1841 Humphrey had died.. Ann herself dies late 1841

1841 census Ann is in Pleasant St Brownlow Hill Liverpool with

Dau Harriet now Higginson and her hubby John they married in 1833 Chester, Wiliam & Charles her two sons are also wit them...no sign of Peggy..

Hi Col

I have the BIVRI, but not the most recent, it is the one before :(

However, did a search on Haswell for baptisms, none to Charles and Ann. :(

Did find the Newcastle one for Samuel Haswell bap 24/10/1840 to James and Catherine, so that rules that out :)

No likely Haswells mentioned in the BIVRI (so far as I know I have the 2nd edition)

Only thing I came across anywhere that might be of interest is that an Infra Will is held in the Probate Registry at Chester for
Haswell, Elizabeth, of Chester, widow. 12 Jun 1816.
