I am trying to trace a burial record of :
Tabitha Kirby
died 1902
resided at Halebank road , Halewood in 1901 census with her daughter & son-law Patrick & Elizabeth Hughes.
I'm not sure which cemetery she would have been buried at.
I doubt she was Catholic as she was baptised in Penketh at Sankey Chapel in 1825, but you never know!!
which church cemetery would she likely to have been have been buried at ?
Can anyone do a search if they have access to any burial records please?
Can anyone help?
Many Thanks Jayne

We have a lot of links to online sites that have burials etc. transcribed, see this post http://liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/phpBB ... php?t=5739
The Old Mersey Times site in particular has many links but it takes time to search through them all.
PS Tina, thanks for the link to St Nicholas, I've added it on to the post in the Websites.

Hello Jayne
I have just registered on this site and came across your topic Tabitha Kirby. I have recently been trying to trace the family for her Granddaughter who has very little information. We do have the death cert for Tabitha. My friends father was William Kirby. Do you have any information regarding the family I could pass onto her. Many thanks.

James Kirby (born Widnes / Prescot registration district 1924) was the son of William James and Amy Kirkby (nee Young) and grandson of William and Elizabeth Ann Kirkby (Nee Hayes).
He was also brother to Margaret Kirkby and ALbert Kirkby
James was killed serving with the RAFVR in 1943.
I believe Tabatha to be the great great grand mother of James Kirkby.
Hope this helps a little.

Ps, with regards to burial location for Tabatha, I would try St Harys in Hale Village.
