Hi,

I am looking for any information on Chritian Habart Johansen, who was born in Oslo Norway in 1864 and died in Liverpool in 1935.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Frank

Hello,

JOHANESON, Mary - Wife - Married - 36 - 1865 - Liverpool.

JOHANESON, Oscar - Son - 15 - 1886 - Shop Boy - Liverpool.
JOHANESON, Frederick - Son - 11 - 1890 - At School - Liverpool.
JOHANESON, May - Dtr - 8 - 1893 - At School - Liverpool.

RG number: RG13 Piece: 3453 Folio: 84 Page: 51
Address: 47, Hampden Street, Walton On The Hill, Liverpool.

I found the family in Liverpool in the 1891 census but not in the 1881. However, there is a Christian 'Johnson', listed as a mariner/passenger on board the Grenadier at Lowestoft on the night of the 1881. Born in Muss, Norway, and abt the right age.

Hi Everyone,

Many thanks for your help in this research. You will no doubt be pleased to note that I have managed , through the Norway Geneaology Board on Rootsweb, that Chritian was born on the 9th of June 1864 in Akershus, Oslo. His parents were Johannes Thommessen Johansen and Gorine Larsdatter.Further, Christian had two siblings: Carl Johan Ludvig born April 4th 1861 and Karen Amalie Janannesdatter born on Chritain's birthday, of then9th of June, 1867.

As you can see, all three children were born in Akershus, which was their mother's birthplace. The father wa born in Naes, Hedmark.

Once again, many thanks,
Frank
