i am interest in finding out about my gt aunty kate,she was born in liverpool 1880 and was my grandmothers sister.never married and in1901 she went to america. on the ships passenger lists it has her travelling with mary mc conville,age 19 and fred mc conville age 17 as there maid ,dont know how she got this job maybe she new them in liverpool,thay sail on the ivernia out of liverpool on the 15 of jan 1901 arr Boston 25 Jan 1901address there mr f mc conville 11 Berwick park Columbus ave,Boston. i would like to know about her life after that .
i am with ancestry.cam and findmy past so if you could point me in the right direction please.

Looks like she was working for a FRANCIS MCCONVILLE PHYSICIAN 11 BERWICK PARK BOSTON MA.
This man could be there father or maybe an uncle..
I cant seem to find anything on a Francis McConville in Liverpool 1881 1891..so i recon he is American..

I wonder if they advertised for a maid to travel with them, somebody who wantedf to emigrate, rather than a maid who was already working for them who might not want to go.

If you google you will find the directory online..
They had a 1905 one too Francis still at same address also son Fred McConville At Student Buildings 11 Berwick Park.
Also a 1925 Directory there were two Francis McConvilles Senior & Junior Senior was an Insurance Broker and Junior was a Clerk.. not sure if its the same Francis..
Not having much luck with Orangetown Rockland County NY were Catherine moved to.
