Does anyone know if the church at millbank has closed
My sis/inlaw asked at the lro for the phone number and was told they were asked not to give it out as they had closed Irene

I hadn't heard about it so thought I'd call them - phone number on the familysearch site 0151-252 0614 but although it was ringing there was no response and Tuesday is one of their regular days.

The centre at Rawtenstall has closed although the church is still open.

The main Chorley centre doesn't have any knowledge so wonder if it's just a temporary closure for holidays and suggest that an evening telephone call is made rather than day time or give it another week to see if they come back from holiday.

My information is that it is closed for a couple pf weeks (holidays) then reopening and that it is closing in October. That information came from someone who heard the person who runs it give a talk at Crosby library. He apparently said the nearest would then be Chorley.
