I think the head was born in Scotland,and his middle name was Milligan,

Just to add sadly looks like Otto died aged 11yrs in 1895.
In 1891 mother in law listed as Ann Welsh.

1901 Lilian, Ann, Jean & Arthur are inmates, Orphan Asylum, Mt Pleasant.
The older boys, George John Wm could be in lodgings.

There's a death for a William Mulligan Wilson 40yrs in 1896.
There's also a marriage the year before for the same names.
Free BMD, not listed Lancs BMD.
Perhaps Elizabeth died & Wm M remarried?

I think this could be the Wilson boys George and John in the 1881 census, they are with grandparents John and Ann Welch, they are at 10 Coniston Street Everton.

RG11 3671 folio 56 page 35.

The strange thing is, the boys are listed first, then the grandparents are listed as mother in law and father in law. I think William and Elizabeth should have been listed on the previous page, but have been missed off!!

The boys are both listed as warehouseman's son.

I found John and Ann Welch in the 1871 census, they had a daughter Elizabeth age 12.

I also found this marriage in 1877
