Margaret Reid - Liverpool Workhouse 1904

Post by Blue70 »

Any ideas what this extract says at the beginning of the second line for 'Name and Address of nearest Relatives' entry. First line I'm sure says:-

Son Alexr same [ie son Alexander Reid at the same address 31 Sherwood Street]

The only part of the second line I can read is the address:-

? 30 Taliesin Street

Full entry see '5587' Margaret Reid here:-

Thanks for the offer Katie. Admitted 13th May 1904, died 16th May 1904. It's probably not worth checking as I've just received the death record on PDF today and apart from the place of death as Liverpool Workhouse there are the two addresses mentioned in that Creed Register extract, 31 Sherwood Street and 30 Taliesin Street. 31 Sherwood Street is entered as Margaret Reid's home address and 30 Taliesin Street as the informant, A Reid's address. They probably boarded at both addresses. Margaret Ball at 30 Taliesin Street doesn't appear to be a relative she was more likely a friend that they boarded with and a useful contact for the Workhouse people. I think Margaret Ball was in Slade Street in 1901 a street that various Reids were living in on the 1891 Census.
