Wiliam Evans,seaman

Post by Liverbird »

Hello to all , last week I posted a message concerning William Evans who was born in Anglesey and ended up in Australia. I hoped perhaps some one could come up with an idea for matching this gent to one of the same name , birth year and the key thing was his parents names William and Ellen plus birth area, The elder William was my Gt .Gt grandfather and was a collier/miner a big ask I know. All info on him is shown in my previous post.

I have not found him on the 1851 census and was wondering did anyone know of any records for seamen who sailed from their home port of Liverpool that would give background info on an individual i.e parents, birth place , hometown etc. This is a shot in the dark but could possibly be the link to matching a blood line that is either end of the globe. All help or suggestions in any way much appreciated. L.B :D
