George Tyrer family, Merchant/Alderman of Liverpool, d.1740

Post by Jay-Zion »

Does anyone have any information on the family of George Tyrer d. Apr. 1740 in Hackins Hey., Lanceshire? He was both a Merchant and Alderman of Liverpool. George married Jemima Clayton who was b. Sept. 1686 and d. Apr. 1733 (a daughter of Wm. Clayton Merchant & MP). Their children are listed as: Thomas Tyrer b. 1708; William Tyrer b. 1709; Elizabeth Tyrer b. 1710; Margaret Tyrer b. 1713; Robert Tyrer b. 1714; George Tyrer, Jr. b. 1717; Hanah Tyrer b. 1718; Jemimah Tyrer b. 1718; Richard b. 1720; Sarah Tyrer b. 1724; and Anne Tyrer b. 1727?

Again, many thanks… Jay

Just to clarify - Hackins Hey is not a town, it is a street in Liverpool.

George Tyrer was Mayor of Liverpool 1736-7
