I suspect that the best place to search would be the newspapers, presumably you have a date for the offence.

Apart from Findmypast where the records might be sketchy for that date, you could try the British Newspaper Archive that often has an offer of £1 for a month, check this site for any discount codes http://www.genealogydiscount.co.uk/?utm ... y+Discount
