Hallyburton
Hallyburton
Researching any descendants/relatives of the Hallyburton/Halliburton family originally from Perth, Scotland arriving in Liverpool via Stafford 1800's onwards. Any help/suggestions gratefully appreciated.
Re: Hallyburton
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Can you be a little more specific about what details you already have to save any duplication of research and also to give us a point to start from.

Re: Hallyburton
Hi Tina,
I notice you hail from Australia so I'll begin with the member of the family who emigrated
there, he would be a great x2 uncle, being a younger brother of my great x2 grandfather.
Adam Hallyburton b1827 Perth Scotland arrived with his wife Ann Wylie b 1830 Scotland,
in Geelong, Victoria on 9th July 1857, on a ship called the 'Carlton' from Liverpool, England. He had employment waiting for him as a stone mason in Geelong.
They had two children travelling with them, Adam and Isabella.
I hope this is the same family that you are researching. Look forward to hearing from you confirming it.

Re: Hallyburton
Hi Lotus3, I'm not researching your family. I live downunder, was born in Wavertree and like a lot of our members across the globe, we try and help out whenever we can.
It looks like your Adam died aged 77 in 1904 and buried in Colac cemetery. A fair way from Geelong in UK miles but not in Oz.
I'm sure you have this info.
