Alice Munnerley (Adopted Child) See Previous Post.

Post by margie »

Hi,
After further research I think I have found the Baptism of Alice above:

2 March 1888 All Saints Stoneycroft Liverpool.
Parents George & Mary Ellen Munnerley, they married 1882
Our Lady & St.Nicholas.

However I cant find the family on the 1891 Census living I presume in Newton Le Willows as a :

Jane Munnerley was Baptised 1890 St.John the Baptist Earlestown parents as above.

George died in 1894 but cant find when Mary Ellen died.

Can anyone find the family in 1891 and the death of Mary Ellen.

Thanks Margie.

Deaths Sep 1899: Day, Mary Ellen [41] - Warrington 8c 137

It appears that she may have died in childbirth...
Deaths Dec 1899: Day, Mary Ellen [0] - Warrington 8c 124

In 1891 it is possible that George and Mary Ellen Munnerley are inmates of a Lancashire workhouse where the inmates are recorded only by their initials.
