Thanks very much Mary. I can place this man now in the relevant records. That relative is a labourer/joiner/cabinet maker called Henry Merricks his second wife was an Emma Davies whose brother Henry is the subject of this thread. All Liverpool born people. Henry probably went to the Workhouse for medical assistance rather than because of poverty.

I thought the same, how sad they don't survive very long, I hope they made him comfortable for his last six weeks.
