Herbert Byrnes-Prescot

Post by Katie »

I have searched and searched and I cannot find any trace of Herbert Byrnes who appears in my list as Released Prisoner of war in 1918

I have him recorded in a list published in the Prescot Reporter in 1915 and he was from Prescot. He is also recorded in a list of Roman Catholic men who served also published in the Whiston and Prescot News.

I have tried the Irish Census, no trace, can't find a marriage or death.

He could have a relative called William Byrnes as he is also in the list of men who had enlisted from Prescot.

Any help appreciated.

No help at all, the nearest one I have found is a Burns in Radcliffe and I think that would be too far away.
