The Society has received the following appeal. I will email the enquirer to let them know the link to this post, hopefully they will pick up on any discussion/responses posted here.
I am the archives researcher on the BBC One programme Heir Hunters. The series follows a team of probate researchers as they track down potential heirs to an unclaimed estate. As part of each programme we explore the family history of the person who has died which is illustrated with archive footage and photographs.
This is where I am hoping your society might be able to help. We are looking into a story based around the Toxteth area of Liverpool. The grandmother ran a hand laundry on Liffey Street and the subject of our film was born in Smithdown Road Workhouse.
My hope is that your members may have archive photographs (or maybe even film if we're lucky!) of the area in their private collections or local history information that might be useful to us in building the picture of what life was like in this area from the early 1900s to 1930s.
Thank you in anticipation of your reply

Re: Appeal from Heir Hunters
Liffey Street was in Liverpool 8, between Dove & Alt Streets, close to Lodge Lane Baths and the Pivvy[Pavilion theatre].
