Margaret Welsh

Post by yappie »

Hi Folks I wonder if you knowledgeable Genies can tell me if a child died in Effingham Street Bootle in 1892 which cemetary would she have been buried in. I have checked the burials on Anx but she is not there. Any help will be gratefully received.

We have tried to collect a list of cemeteries and the dates they opened here http://www.forum.liverpool-genealogy.or ... =2&t=11835

If you have the exact date of death, it might be a good idea to contact Thornton Garden of Rest http://www.sefton.gov.uk/Default.aspx?page=3859 as they hold recoreds for Bootle and Sefton.

:D Thank you MaryA for your quick reply - I will try the websites. Its strange that all the family are buried in Ford except little Margaret. I assume that Effingham Street is out of the area.
Thank you again.

If you had said that before I would certainly expect her to be there also, Ford is very close to Bootle, but also is the main RC cemetery for the area. It could well be as we have found at other times, that a child has been buried at the same time as an adult (not part of the family), especially if it was quite small, perhaps a baby, maybe in a niche to the side and this would not necessarily be recorded or charged for.
