Well it's different from the spider the other year. If you have the Museum of Liverpool on your Facebook, they have uploaded a photograph of the giant girl ~ strange with a divers helmet on.

It's all based on the real story of May McMurray who sent a letter to her father, a steward on the Titanic. She is looking for a reply from him which is brought by her uncle, the diver. They will be in Liverpool all weekend. I'm really disappointed as I'll be in Liverpool next week with some French friends - it would have been great to see , especially as the pupeteers are French.

PS Love the dog!
Don't forget to take your friends down to the Museum of Liverpool, especially if they enjoy the old '60s music as well as earlier history.
The Liverpool Duck could be a good trip to take them on, it enters the dock in front of the Pump House pub, I think the boarding place is somewhere there.
There's also the Beatles Story, also at the Albert Dock and the bus tours would take you around Strawberry Fields and other places of interest.

Thanks Mary. The Duck is definitely on the agenda and we'll be visiting the museums. we'll be making time for Liverpool 1, the Phiharmonic pub and the mersey ferry as well. Can't wait!

I went watching it on Saturday. Very impressive I got down to the docks at 9-30 in time for her waking up (& Xolo the dog having his morning wee!!) I followed her down the strand as far as James St but the crowds were a bit too much to see everything. It was about 11am by then & I was froze so gave up & went to have a coffee to get warm. They were going at a fair old pace so anybody with mobility problems wouldn't have been able to keep up & to take photos it was just a case of holding the camera over everybody's heads & hoping for the best. Got quite a few though. I enjoyed it though & was glad I went

It was cancelled tonight because of the programme on Madeline McCann. Rescheduled for Monday. Someone might put it on You Tube if the copyright people don't take issue with it.
It was fantastic I loved the story behind it. I've sent the link to family living away from the NW. Everybody deserves to see it.
The atmosphere there was brilliant
