This is an address in a baptismal register, dated 1807. I think it will be town centre, but where?
All clues welcome.

Re: Grub Street, Liverpool, 1807
Hi Daggers
Sorry not listed in Baines 1825.
1790 lists only surnames.
If you could send this, I'll have a squizz.
Could it be Grubb St?
Found a baptism in LOPC at Bethseda Chapel one for Grubb St
others Christian St, Paradise St,Copperas Hill etc

Thanks for that. I've only seen a transcription, so cannot be sure of details.

Bethesda Chapel was in Duncan Street East.... now quite where that was remains to be seen!
Well Duncan Street is presently off St James Street, so near the Cathedral. Does that make sense to your search Daggers?

Re: Grub Street, Liverpool, 1807
Found this spelling at LOPC...
Baptism: 25 Jan 1803 Bethesda Chapel, Liverpool, Lancashire, England
Isaac Lloyd - Son of Wm Lloyd & Ann
Born: 5 Dec 1802
Abode: Grubb Street, Liverpool
Bethesda Chapel seems to have a wide 'catchment' area, from Paradise St, Dale St, Byrom St, Cable St, Wavertree, Scotland Road, Copperas Hill, Bevington St; So Grubb St could have been almost anywhere around city centre. Seems to have 'gone' by 1851/61 and perhaps by 1841.

From LOPC:
So Grubb St could have been where Lime St Station is now.Founded circa 1802, the Bethesda Chapel in Liverpool was situated in Duncan Street East, part of which remains as Hotham Street, probably in the area now occupied by Lime Street railway station.
