Hi Blue,
Could you tell me please, do you subscribe to a newspaper archive? as i have tried to look but would have to subscribe.
Also how did you view the 1843 Electoral roll, are you on the higher subscription with Ancestry?. You seem to be able to gather information from all forms of media.
I am not being nosey just want a piece of the action.

Hi Carol,
Do you live in Liverpool? All Liverpool libraries have access to 19th Century newspapers on their computers. You can also access the service on your home PC using your membership card number as a log in.
The 1843 Liverpool directory is on Ancestry go into Schools, Directories and Church Histories and then UK, City & County Directories. Then look for directories in Lancashire & England you should have a list of directories to scroll through. I have a Premium subscription if you can't access it you will be told onscreen by Ancestry.

Ok, Thanks again Blue for reply.
I will try that with newspapers, I have the £12.95 (or something) package from Ancestry that's why i can't get into electoral registers.
Thanks.Carol

Re: Kelly family
I believe the information in 1843 is from the Gore's Directory, not the electoral registers. Although the heading of the database is UK, Poll Books and Electoral Registers, 1538-1893, unfortunately the only Electoral Registers available are for London, Liverpool doesn't appear to be covered.cjf wrote: I have the £12.95 (or something) package from Ancestry that's why i can't get into electoral registers.
