Hi all

went to Sandhills today as you said Mary, it maybe quiet sad her state of mind was very bad hearing voices telling her to do things etc, and she wa snever cheerful at all plus she couldnt do anything for herself..thourght i would show you this ellusive lady and part of her file ..incase others decide to find their ancestor at Rainhill..the book was enormous could just about lift it and the pages are very thick and are in great condition.

The sadest part for me is they had to hold her head in the direction of the camera..as i dont think she had a clue what was going on bless her...
I am going again on Friday to look at Cottage home admissions and records..

Hi the women and young girls placed in there was unbelievable some pretty faces i saw going through the book.
And yes the records are very detailed..sad but no names of parents or birth place, and there is a column that asked for Grandmothers and Grandfathers names uncles & Aunts etc..imagin if they were all filled in it would be like gold dust haaaaaaaaa.

I am not going to give up on finding her as a girl..even though its drove me mad..up to now for years..she has to be out there somewhere be it Staffordshire or Liverpool its one of the two.

xx

So sad Colette and wonderful and with a photograph also, that's a bonus.

Well done on your learning curve, now there'll be no stopping you. Good luck for the Cottage Homes.
