Hello Tina, don't think it's the right one, too young although the trade is correct. In 1871 and 1891 they were in Cazneau St area, so I would expect that's where they'd be in 1881. I would say that they didn't have anymore children after the one that died anyway. Thanks for your interest. Regards Moya

I still think it's them in 1881. He's in the same occupation, birthplace, Annie still dressmaking as in 1871, still childless.
Brother James bn IOM is also in Everton.
I wouldn't be put off by their age difference, in fact, Annie could be 48 in 1881.

Tina's gut instinct is often right. I think the thing for Moya to do is research to discover if therfe is any other John Connels of the correct age, born Warrington and if they married an Annie born Liverpool. Then you could rule them out, otherwise I would say file them as very likelies but unconfirmed.

Hello Tina, not sure about the brother James in Everton, where did you find that. Ann was born in Liverpool as were all her siblings, didn't have a James in the family. Waiting on certificate for child Adelaide Connell so I'll let you know when it arrives. Moya

James was living with them in census, when they were off Cazaneu St, 1871.
Mary , I've done the rounds of John Connel/Connell and he's the only one born Warrington.
