I do believe that is her. She moves to America (and that makes sense since her husband is American). Also my wife says she remembers the name Lillian. I don't want to ask my mother-in-law (since it's a surprise). But I don't beliene he is deceased. We would have known, since these people kept in touch. It probably means he was dead to her.

Thanks
Geir

Did Lillie Michael die young or get divorced? I can't find Willard and Lillie on the 1930 US Census and then the 1940 Census has Willard married to another woman.

The only thing I know, is that the Lillian/Lizzie that was a sister of Sarah Ann, came to visit in Norway in the seventies (this my wife remember), so she didn't die young. Anyway, I think my mother-in-law knows a little bit about the people that went to America.
I am most interested to find out if John might have married or gotten children.

Thanks again

Hi Geir,
Compliments of the season to you.

To pursue John McDonald further you really need his precise date of birth. If he was born in Liverpool there are 11 possible registrations between the March qtr of 1891 and December qtr of 1892. But if you use the method I previously outlined and don't enter anything in the application details apart from his name, the year 1892 and the names of his parents, the GRO will search 1892 and one year either side for a matching entry. No match and they will refund the £9.25 fee.

Don't even enter a District on the application because there were births registered at West Derby, Toxteth Park and Liverpool Registry Offices, and all are in fact in the city of Liverpool.
