The snow effect?

Post by dickiesam »

Today the forum screen is a little twitchy across the the bottom. Anything to do with the snow flakes? It isn't happening on the Society Home page or any other site in my browsers.

The twitching is the snow falling on the electric conductor rail, wrong type of snow.

I can tolerate that. Much better than wet leaves on the line messing up the brakes!

Oooer, since the upgrade to the software we had to redo the snow and Lee has done his best, but if it's not working for everyone then we need to stop it.

Can we have a vote please.

Not so much the snow, if it's the only snow I see this winter..... but if it causing the annoying flicker or twitch at the bottom of the screen in full width mode with the horizontal 'scroll bar' appearing then disappearing all the time then please remove the snow. The twitch/flicker isn't happening on any other site.

Will advise our Webmaster that it's causing too many problems.

I know he had a few problems, but perhaps we'd rather do without and have things run smoothly.

Last night I continually got an error message when trying to get on the Forum this was late evening. It said to contact the administrator - I went to bed and left it! The rest of the Society's sight was fine but not the Forum. Today I have the Forum but minus our logo instead it says pphbb creating communities. The print has also shrunk. How do I/we get the logo back?

Strange, mine is ok today, leave it until Lee wakes up, I'm sure he'll sort it out, meantime if the text is small, temporary fix is hold down the Ctrl key and scroll with your mouse.

The forum was off-air for a while last night when Lee was I believe shovelling the snow away. Came back on later though. Forum is fine today for me, no problems.

Have you tried logging out, closing your browser to make sure it clears itself, count to ten and then log on again?

Have you got the Society Logo ( The World) in the top left hand corner DS? I have phpbb creating communities and a house!

The page is working fine and I was still logged in but no logo!

Hilary, my forum page is perfect. That phpbb creating communities and a house is from when the forum was down for maintenance last night. Try the suggested closing your browser trick, wait, then log on again.

No I have the world but the link doesn't go to the main page as it should, leave it to Lee, he will sort it out, and blame me for asking for snow!!!
