Glad to see you made it in.
Unfortunately this marriage, probably the church PR, isn't available online, so it would have to be somebody who is going to the Record Office.

Thanks for the death info Tina, I didnt have that. Much appreciated. The family did come from the Iom, Joseph Allen was my great uncle. I've traced the family as far back as I wanted and now I'm just putting the meat on the bones, as they say. Dad never talked about his Manx roots so this is all very interesting for me. Thanks again and enjoy the sunshine - it's ffffrrrreeeeezing here!
St. John the Evangelist, Walton Breck Road. Not on Microfilm originals in Sandhills so you will have to wait till Spring sorry before I can do a look up for this marriage.
That's nice of you Katie.
You're welcome Holly.
In 1938 Gores/Kellys Directory there are the following:
Frank B Quaye tailor 91 Avondale Rd Wavertree (know it well)
Joseph tailor 48 Trevor Rd Walton
same address Reginald A real estate agent for Jsph Bell & Sons
Robt Hy 62 Ponsonby St Lpool 8.
I hope this may help with your Quaye tree

I didnt know they lived in Avondale, I know in 1944 they lived in Greenfield Rd, you kindly sent me a photo of the house Tina! I didnt know he was still a tailor in 1938 as Frank supposedly lost his sight at an early age......
At the moment it's Reginald who has captured my imagination as Dad never mentioned any of his cousins .....
Thank you both very much and if I get to Sandhills in the New Year I shall certainly let you know and maybe do a few look ups for others!
Hi DS - Thank you for that information which I didnt have, I noticed his death on Anc and the fact he left a will to the tune of almost 3,000.00! There's also some info on London Gazette, I couldnt find a marriage for him or his sister Ida.
It's the wrong time of the year to be racing off buying certs and wills - I only found him by accident last week but look forward to the New Year when I can purchase them.

Don't bank on getting to Sandhills, I think it has now closed until all the documenits are transferred to the Library when it opens in Spring. Watch out as I'm sure Kathy will update this when we know a more definite date.
