Post by Faithanne »

Hi

Is there anyone on here who could either take a photograph of my grandparents grave in Ford Cemetery or indeed give the details of someone who can.

Thank you

Faith

Hi and welcome to the forum.

We have been lucky in the past in having somebody undertaking an act of kindness and photographing a grave, although I can't promise.

I think the best thing to do is to give the details, especially the number and section and if anybody is able to they will let you know.

Hi Mary,

Thanks for your reply.

Here are the details of the grave

It is in Ford Catholic Cemetery in Liverpool

The Plot number is RD 286

The details on the Gravestone are Thomas Murphy who died in 1926 and His wife Catherine Murphy who died in 1977. On the front of the grave is a bronze/copper plaque commemorating their son Thomas Francis Murphy who was killed in France in 1940.

One of our other forum members has also told me about another site that may have photographs of war graves. http://www.britishwargraves.com/

I will put them both on our Web Sites board for future reference.

This may be a bit late but WWW.fordcemetery.co.UK might be of some use to you.
I'm writing this on a tablet and it puts capitals where it thinks. All lower case.
