Away for a short break

Post by Tina »

Hi everyone
Just to let you know I will be away Mon to Fri, going up to Jurien Bay, a few hours north of Perth.
Laid back fishing town.
Staying in the caravan park in a cabin.
We hope to see lots of wildflowers in bloom and catch lots of fish!!

Thanks folks for lovely messages.
It was sooo cold..and windy and squally rain.
Ed's fishing charter was cancelled, choppy seas and a huge swell.
He did manage to catch his bag limit everyday..put in the freezer and we've brought them home.
Tailor normally run early and at dusk, he was catching them at 1pm, at the groyne, which sent the blokes in the pub into action the next day.
Wildflowers not quite open because of cloudy skies, got lovely pics though.
Glad to be home, weather warming up in Perth woo hoo.
Long weekend for us and school hols. Perth
Royal Agricultural Show on for 8 days, we have permanent show grounds, with roads and pavillions. It's a wonderful tradition, where the city meets the country and just fantastic for the kids and adults too.
And of course Side Show Alley, rides for the brave!
Lots of show bags.
Not going with the grandees this year, for a change!

Glad you enjoyed yourselves, good to see you back again, but your descriptions make us quite envious, most of the UK are "enjoying" floods at the moment
