A proud day, the first woman to be commemorated by a statue in Liverpool's St George's Hall.

And about time too! I have read so much about Kitty Wilkinson, initially prompted by my interest in genealogy. She was a great woman indeed and worthy of a place of honour in the city. Perhaps this will bring to mind other women who served the people of the city selflessly.
