A proud day, the first woman to be commemorated by a statue in Liverpool's St George's Hall.

Thanks so much Mary, long overdue for the women of Lpool to be finally acknowledged.
Will post this link around and about.
The sculptor seems to be a sensitive and caring person.

And about time too! I have read so much about Kitty Wilkinson, initially prompted by my interest in genealogy. She was a great woman indeed and worthy of a place of honour in the city. Perhaps this will bring to mind other women who served the people of the city selflessly.
