Probate lookup?

Post by daggers »

If anyone has access to the Probate Calendars online, could they please look for an entry in 1869 for Edward Griffin, death 10 October, proved 30th October. They were quick in those days!
If it is there I would like his address and occupation please. I have names of executors.

By return! Thanks very much. Now for a directory but I may find him in a census first. He owned a slice of Mossley Hill in those days.

Think I may have him in the 1841 census
O107; Piece: 560; Book: 5; Civil Parish: Liverpool; County: Lancashire; Enumeration District: 5; Folio: ; Page: 1; Line: 4
Upper Duke Street, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool
Part of the house, different household with John Corlett a surgeon and two female Corletts./
Edward Griffin 40 born in County but I can't make out the occupation
Bridget Smith 35 Female ?? Ireland

Sorry Photobucket isn't allowing me to upload the image, I hope somebody else will be able to look and give their opinion on the occupation.

Try this, don't know if it will show well enough.

Thanks for that. Not sure I have the right one. The one I want may have migrated to Wales where that family originated [no surprise, given the name].
