West Derby Cemetery Records

Post by McIver919 »

I'm trying to find my uncle's internment records, I have all his death details and I've been lead to believe he was put in a grave with a stranger in sept 1957. are there any records online or do I have to go into the records office and would it be Liverpool or another district ? any help would be appreciated.

At that date I don't believe you will find any records online as mostly transcribers are doing their best from older records and working their way forwards.

Yes they will be held at Liverpool, however I'm not sure that those recent ones will yet be microfilmed, please check before you make a trip contact details here, http://liverpool.gov.uk/libraries-and-a ... y-history/ to see if you need to view them on microfilm at the World Museum, William Brown Street, or whether they are still as yet in document form and will be temporarily held at the Sandhills Satellite, where you will need to pre-book your documents, and also which will close for removal back to the Liverpool Library in early November.
