Re: Argentina
If you're after information in Argentina I suggest you google Argentina Family History or Argentina Genalogy to see what comes up. I'd also look at the GRO indexes for BMDs abroad as they may have carried on registering family members witht he British consulate etc.

Re: Argentina
Hi Sid welcome aboard. Good luck.
Have you looked in Mormons site? familysearch.org?
They have a census record for 1895 I put in
Alfred Plant Argentina in the search engine.
Little Alfredo is 1 Guillium is 3, there also Clara? 20 bn Argentina marr.
Above her is another Plant, english 30 unm, can't read first name.
Resident in Pertido San Martin, B.A.
There are lots of Plant's in this site.
For the peeps, ignore the arrival in London from Buenos Aries for the Rev P Plant 1897
Only 5 passengers boarded there, then it came to Australia, several ports.
The Rev boarded in Adelaide.

Re: Argentina
Hi Sid,
I'm also researching the same Plant family as you.
The site www.argbrit.org is helpful. You will find that Sydney Herbert Plant aged 26 a clerk married Clara Louisa Agnes Roquette, aged 17, Argentinian, at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Buenos Aires on 28th Dec 1890.
William Herbert Plant was born 12th Jan 1892 & baptised at the same church on 17th April 1892. Father's profession was "employee".
The 1895 census mentioned below for St Martin, Buenos Aires lists
Plant, Syd 30 English Contador (Accountant)
Roquet de Plant, Clara 20 Argentinian
Plant, Guilliam 3 Argentinian
Plant, Alfredo 1 Argentinian
I haven't found a baptism for Alfred.
Shipping lists also show that
Sidney & son William sailed from Montevideo on the "Oropesa" to Liverpool in 1898. Profession accountant.
A Sidney H Plant sailed on the "Highland Heather" from Liverpool to River Plate on 13 Nov 1911. Profession given as shipwright but the next person on the list was an accountant so I wonder whether they were transcribed in error.
Sidney H Plant sailed from River Plate to London on the "Princessa" 1st class cabin. Profession Civil Engineer.
I hope this helps
