Venice Street School, Liverpool

My great great grandfather, Thomas ELSTON (b1844) was Headmaster of Venice Street School off Walton Break Road, Liverpool. Does anyone know where the records of this school are deposited, as I wish to find out more about his career and understand what the school would have been like at the time.
