RG 9; Piece: 2694; Folio: 44; Page: 26
The surname is Simister

Above the image is a link to the District the address is in - in this case District 26
Clicking this opens a menu that allows you to view the Description of the Enumeration District.

In the St Anne Street Ward and in St Annes Ecclesiastical District.
Including Springfield Street North Side from St Anne Street to Christian Street
Clare Street both sides with Courts from Springfield Street to Myrtle View
St Anne Street West Side with courts from Springfield Street to Great Richmond Street

If you enter "springfield, liverpool" into googlemaps you will see that the area is just off St Anne's Street not far from Islington.

Question for Mary.
How did you know that the folio number was 44?

Hard work!

No really I went to the National Archive site for the Census
Street Index, I put together links for most census years http://www.forum.liverpool-genealogy.or ... dex#p85556
and found Kellett Buildings.

Then as I was looking for an incorrect surname I wasn't having any luck finding it, so chose just any old "Smith" in the Piece and scrolled along until I came to 44/45.

Thanks Mary, that had me puzzled. Perhaps I will be able to find my way round the records that well one day.

On the 1861 census summary Kellets Buildings are located on Kitchen Terrace [Islington?]. They are between 8 Kitchen Terrace and 1 Gaslan (?) Place.
