Thanks to dickiesam I think I may have found two members of the elusive Daly family. He found them on the passenger list for the Otranto, arriving in Sydney 1926. They are listed as Miss M Daly aged 17 and Miss MF Daly aged 16. I think these are Margaret and Mary Daly, my great great aunt's daughters.
Is there any way of tracing them after their arrival? They may have been staying with their great aunt, Margaret Ellen Tester who travelled on the same boat.
Thanks in advance for any help.

For our Down-under eyes....
As the Otranto was on a regular sailing schedule to Australia, on the voyage in question she sailed from London for Sydney on the 18th September 1926.

Hi Barb & D.S
Just replied to other post.(re George)
I've found a Margaret Ellen Tester in electoral rolls
120 Oxford St, Darlinghurst East Sydney female home duties
in 1930.
Ditto 1936 she was a boxmaker. No more listings, perhaps she married again?
No one else at the address.
Can't find George in same area.
Too many listed for Daly girls, if they married before 21 yrs, they would be under hubby's surname.

Re: Aussie help needed!
Thanks for the reply, Tina. Margaret Ellen returned to England in 1936 (see passport applications post).
Ia there a way to search Aussie marriages or are there just too many Dalys?

Hi Barbara
I'll give it a shot, it would help if the 2 girls had a middle name.
The other thing is, they may have arrived in Sydney but not settled in that state.

Re: Aussie help needed!
Hi Tina and thanks for the offer. I think the youngest girl was Mary Frances, born 1910. No second name for Margaret, born 1909.
