That can only be West Derby which is between East Lancs Road and Lower House Lane. You could either ring the cemetery, contact the cemeteries department at Allerton or access the details at the record office.

Rang today: no answer at cemetery, try again tomorrow

But spoke to a guy at the records office who advised this info will be on microfilm so head into town and should find it there :-)

Peacefully in hospital aged 71 years SARAH the dearly loved mother of all her family and grandchildren (sadly missed by all) (She knew our faults but loved us just the same.) Service and Cremation at Anfield Wednesday next at 11.00 am. Resting at the Co-operative Chapel of Repose, Breck Road. 71 Porchester Road, 11.

Well done Mary. So it was a cremation at Anfield Crematorium that'll be why there was no burial record for Anfield Cemetery.

What does this mean? Would ashes be buried or not?

My Aunty was convinced she was buried, but that is 100% her you have the information on.....

These were the obituaries from the newspaper. The Cremation Records may give more information and also the cause of death I believe. These records are also in the Record Office but I was out of time on the microfilm machine as I'd had a couple of hours and somebody else wanted it.
