Please can some one help i have a John Mcgee who died at sea 17 march 1907 ships name was Holywood i got this information from BT334 register of deaths at sea box 0040 page 15 i think John was my husbands grandfather would a death certificate been issued and where would i obtain one John was from Dublin

The particular entry states by a handwritten notation that he "Disappeared at sea. Supposed drowned". Without a body a Death Cert could not normally be issued until after a period of 7 years had elapsed and then only following an official declaration by a Court that he was deceased, known as a Benjamin Order. Because the death is recorded in the England GRO Death Index you would normally apply to the GRO in Southport for the cert using the reference information given [BT334 register of deaths at sea; Box 0040; Page 15] and that is what I suggest you do.

There are 2 deaths in 1907 for a John McGee in the Irish Index at https://www.familysearch.org/
both aged 43 but neither have a Registration District stated which is very unusual. One [or both] entries could refer to your John.

i have done as you suggested and ordered the death certificate from Southport
i had forgotton Dublin was still under British rule in 1907 so some information could be in the uk
