Certificates for war deaths
Certificates for war deaths
A great-uncle was killed in January 1941, result of his ship being torpedoed. He was from Liverpool. I do have details of the ship, and his memorial at Tower Hill London, but I was wondering if an actual death certificate would have been issued to his widow. I checked freebmd from 1941 - 1945 but nothing there. Moya
Re: Certificates for war deaths
His death will have been recorded in the War Deaths 1939-45 seperate indexes from the other death registrations. What was his name I can check my Newspaper index to see if he was mentioned.

We may also be able to check the War Deaths Index, so always post names when you are looking for information.
