Hello again to all on the Forum
I have a picture of the Wife's GFather, by blowing it up I can just make out Royal Flying Corp on his r.sleeve. He is sitting in the driver's seat of a huge open car (could be a staff car) with the word Benz on the wheel. I know the RFC existed 1912 to 1918, before coming the RAF. The question is where do I get info. on him. His name is Thomas Benson from Liverpool.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Royal Flying Corp
I think this would be the site to contact. When I applied for my uncles information a few years ago it was to Stanmore in Middlesex but I believe I heard that they had moved, seemingly to Cranwell, Lincolnshire. My enquiry was regarding a WWII pilot and we had to confirm that it was the next of kin (my mother) who was applying for the records, and I remember they cost £25. I would suspect that WWI records might have different criteria, probably far easier to apply for.

Re: Royal Flying Corp
Try these
www.rfc-rnas-raf-register.org.uk/RFCRegister.htm
www.nationalarchives.gov.uk › Records › Looking for a person?
I found these googling Royal Flying Corps records. If he didn't carry on into the RAF post 1918 the above should help. The national Archives does explain where the records may be.
