Numbers after name

I notice most people have a number after their names when they post something.How does that come about?

The number is a membership number of the Society: Liverpool & SW Lancs FHS.

As the forum is funded by the Society we do encourage our forum members to join the Society so gaining advantage of it's fuller benefits and also not being restricted in their use of the forum.

I did pay an overseas subscription and thought it was just a number for the UK people.I found nothing to say I had a number.

If you have an Overseas Subscription you will receive regular Journals? Check the outside of the envelope, your Membership Number will be printed on the label.

If you have shredded the envelope contact our Membership secretary (on the officers page) and she will be able to tell you your membership number.
