1901 census look up
Hi padjo1 and lady,
Great to find a unknown relation lady.
None of my records shown any one of the family moving to crosshall street. Albert went to live in Embledon terrace off upper parliament street. I think my father said his sister married a Corrigan, either margaret or mary, will check further.

Hi Jacky and John
I am looking for the mother of my Grandfather, who lived at 12 Mansfield Street, hence my enquiries. We only have a first name for her Amy.
Mum thinks they maybe connected, the connection of 8 and 12 Mansfield Street being the old Victorian houses, and when the old Mansfield Street houses where demolished they where replaced with the 4 squares.
My Grandparents went to live in Victoria Square, after the old Mansfield Street houses demolished and then to Wakefield Street, part of the 4 squares.
Grandma's sister we thought only lived at Crosshall Street or Great Crosshall Street, when she married, however the envelope with 8 Mansfield Street could thow another light on things.
I am really interested now

Hi, Padjo1,
I would be very grateful for the information you have and would love a copy of the photos. What was your grandmothers maiden name and married name, also what was the her sisters maiden name and her married name and who they married, and we may be able to fit more of the jigsaw together.
regards john

Hi Jacky
Your uncle must have lived there around the same time we did, I was young but my mum was only 6 months old when she went to Wakefield Street, of the 4 squares and she is 73 now, and still a brilliant memory for names who lived there, she can still remember who lived on what landing who married who etc.
As I say we will exchange info later, and I will see what she remembers when I ring her later, i will have my note book at the ready.
Off for a bit now,
Michelle

Hi Jacky and John
Apologies for the delay, been trying to find a connection, my grandmother was Margaret Coogan, married name Patterson and her Sister was Lilian Maria Coogan. Lily Coogan as she was called married Michael Finnigan, not sure is this would ring a bell

Re: 1901 census look up
My grandfather was Edward (Tim) Finnegan who married Elizabeth Corrigan in Liverpool 1924. They lived in the 4 squares and had 8 children: Mary, Edward, Gerard, Terence, Michael, Irene, Patricia and Ronald (Alan). Edward's father was from Dundalk Co. Louth and Elizabeth's father was from Co. Mayo.
If you have any questions that I can answer, I am happy to discuss.

Re: 1901 census look up
Hi Lizzie,
Welcome, you have resolved my problem I had finding Tim, my father Albert told me that he had a brother called Tim, and I took that wrongly to be Timothy, and the other problem I took it that one of my fathers sisters married a Corrigan, but I know now that Edward married Elizabeth Corrigan, thank you.
I have the marriage certificate for Edwards father a Thomas married to a MaryMurray. PM me and I will send you a copy.
You will see from the postings that Lady (Jackie), Padjo 1 (Michelle) myself and now you are all related as cousins.
Keep posting.
regards john
