Mary Makin - bingo!

Post by Barbara B »

I've just looked for Ellen, Mary's sister in the 1911 and guess what - she's living in Pickop Street and is listed as 'sister' to Mary Mahon. Even better, one of the Wooseys is living there as well! Now going to look for the marriage which I know from the census took place in 1901. Lots of little Mahons as well. What a result!

Hi Barbara,
Wow! Great result. As you say it has to be her.
Marriage Mar 1901 - Liverpool - 8b - 147: MAHON, Matthew and MAKIN, Mary.

Why didn't I think of looking for the unmarried sister? Obviously not in my usually devious mind-set! The avatar suits me right now!

Thanks DS. I don't often haxe a brainwave but it's things like that that make it all worthwhile after all the brick walls.
