Hi again,
I have been delving further in to my family history. Aswell as looking further back in history at my family I have also been trying to trace any possible living relatives in the hope of finding some information about my family. My grandfather never ever spoke of his family and we have no idea why so would just really like to know a bit more about them! From research that i have managed to do I have found that nearly all of my grandfathers relation (his aunts and uncles) either didnt marry and died of a young age or married but didnt have any children which may explain why he didnt have anything to do with them as they were all older than him so by the time he had my mother etc they had all died. However i did find a cousin of my grandfather which i have been unable to trace but today I think i have located where they were unfortunately they have passed away so again my line stops. My question is now that I know there is no family left living on my grandfathers side, am i able to get any information on the family other than birth, deaths and marriages?
thanks for all the help you've given me so far..

As you are probably aware this forum is unable to help you find living relatives. From what you say it appears you have exhausted all your descendant lines to living people, but if you have any that may still be alive send me a PM with as much detail as possible. The same applies to any where the trail went cold and you 'lost the scent'.
As for the 'history' of the various families from the 1911 census, you can glean valuable snippets from BMD certs, such as occupations at the time of the events. You might also be able to find out about the main householder from various available electoral rolls and trade directories. Several, if not many, members have access to one or two and would be willing to help with a look-up.
