Anyone know how the houses were numbered on St George's Hill i.e did they start at the Netherfield Road end?
Thanks

I could have moved it over, just wanted confirmation.

My question as before, is this from a census? and can you give the details, it might be possible to work it out from the Enumerator's Walk.

St Georges Hill

Post by dickiesam »

Hi,
According to the 1901 census summary pages the last numbered house in St Georges Hill was #65. The next entry on the same summary page is for #1 McGregor Street: RG13 piece 3474 folio 155 page 21.

Numbering begins at the Netherfield Rd end. The numbers are shown on 1950s/60s maps.
