Does anyone know where I might be able to find more info about the marriage of William Griffiths to Emma Hughes in Prescot in 1881. I want to find out what names Williams father is on the certificate to confirm if I've found the correct William.

The marriage took place somewhere within the
Prescot Registration District but as LancsBMD gives the marriage as being Prescot Register Office or Registrar Attended, it was probably in an RC Church.
Perhaps if you knew the area they were living you might be able to narrow down the search, there is a list for St Helens and you could visit St Helens library who should have the records available.
The alternative is to order online at www.gro.gov.uk using the following reference:
