Looking for Thomas Jolly

been a while since I've been on here, now trying to help my inlaws trace their tree
this is what they have so far
Emily Elizabeth JOLLY born cir 1884 married Joseph Cutler 1904 St Athanasius church Kirkdale?
its her side that I'm doing now her father was
Thomas Henry JOLLY born cir 1863 in 1901 lived @ 48 Miranda Rd Kirkdale (age 38 widowed?) had 3 kids (poss died Nov 1943 age 82 years)
Emily Elizabeth age 17 in 1901 married Joseph Cutler (As above)
Hannah Martha age 16 in 1901 married a Harry Young WINTER Sept 1907
Thomas Own age 13 in 1901 married Annie M BACKSHALL Jun 1910, in 1911 living at litherland liverpool (RG14PN22339 RG78PN1319 RD455 SD2 ED9 SN139) can't make out the address

would love to know who Thomas JOLLY (1863) was married to? and when

I think I've found him in 1881 @ 51 North Hill St with his parents
Thomas (age58) & Theresa (age 35)

The FreeBMD record shows Thomas Jolly married either HUDDLESTON, Hannah Jane or MOONEY, Mary Jane.
Marriage: JOLLY, Thomas Henry
Registration District: West Derby, Lancashire.
Year/qtr of Registration: 1885 / Jan-Feb-Mar
Volume No: 8B; Page No: 722.

The 1891 census will give the forename of his spouse so you will then know which girl he wed. Often saves the cost of buying a birth cert to find the mother's maiden name.

Lancs BMD have a marriage at W Dby Rego or Registrar attended (which could be R.C) to Hannah J Huddleston
1885.
You found Thomas in 1881 in North Hill St, well, there is a Hannah Huddleston 17 dressmaker at number 34, living with her auntie Elizabeth Hughes wid born Whitehaven, ale house manager..

1871 is interesting, Hannah is 7yrs old as niece.
Her Uncle is OWEN Hughes.
I'll post the link as the writing is very poor.
They are in Scotland Div in Lpool.
This will be a tough one as Hannah is not with her parents and between census.

Fairly sure this is Hannah's birth. It's the only one in Lancs across a span of 6 years.

Births Jun 1864: HUDDLESTON, Hannah - Liverpool - 8b - 91.
You might find her baptism in the Ancestry Parish Register collection to find her parents.

And Tina... Didn't I mix up WA time with EA time! I've an old school mate who used to live in Sydney but has now moved up into the Blue Mountains at Blackheath. And you had 22 C, aw I am jealous!

With Hannah born between censuses, and the possibility of having to buy a birth cert I took a flyer. There's only one other Liverpool registered Huddleston birth in the 1860s... Births Mar 1862: HUDDLESTON, Mary - Liverpool - 8b - 81.

And this is her in 1871:
HUDDLESTON, Isabella - Head - Widow - 47 - Ulverston, Lancashire.
HUDDLESTON, James - Son - 18 - Cooper - Ulverston, Lancashire.
HUDDLESTON, Henry - Son - 14 - Ulverston, Lancashire.
HUDDLESTON, Mary - Dtr - 9 - Liverpool, Lancashire.
Address: Epsom Street, Liverpool, Lancashire

And this is the above family in 1861:

Hannah's marriage cert or a baptism of one of the children will hopefully confirm her father as Thomas.
This could be her parents' marriage...

when I told them what you had found, after a few phones calls to the rest of the family, they remember a bit more but its gets confused from here

it seems Thomas H JOLLY remarried to a Emily/Frances JOLLY who had a son Henry Joseph born 1903 (Sept W/Derby 1903 8B 434)
can't find their marrage on FreeBMD but found their deaths

Thomas DEC 1943 Prescott 8B 803 age 82 (I've noted Tina's post as well might have to get both death certs to confirm)
Emily Sept 1952 L/pool 10D 472 age 83

The reason you couldn't find that 2nd marriage was because your man appears to got on one of his bicycles and went all the way to Norfolk!

And poor Hannah had died only 12 months previous.

How do I know it's the right marriage....? Well there was a census 10 years after that marriage and Thomas the cycle maker and Agnes Ann and their 7 year old son Henry Joseph are living at 94 Bedford Road, Bootle. Agnes was born Kings Lynn abt 1869.

Don't know who the Emily was whose death you found but this would appear to be Agnes:
