Hi I'm looking for a Catholic baptism for the following person: Mary Healey born 18/11/1867 @ Chapel Yard, Wavertee. Parents Thomas & Bridget Healey. Any ideas how to find this info out?
Many of the RC registers are now available to search online, however I can't see an entry for your Mary, nor any siblings to match their parents.
I think you would need to search the registers that might be available at the Record Office, those on microfilm will be held at the World Museum in William Brown Street and any that have not yet been filmed would be at Sandhills.
You may need to bear in mind that not all registers might have been deposited with the Record Office and some churches may have kept their own.

Hi Tony
The one I remember most was Our Lady of Good Hope in Chestnut Grove Wavertree. However I don't think it was built at the time frame you are looking for.
They may have gone further afield.
Have you found the family in 1871 census please?

I think they must have been baptised in one of the churches on the outskirts of Liverpool not covered by the Liverpool RC baptisms on the Ancestry website. My suggestion is not that far away. It's in Wavertree according to the Genuki site but in Childwall according to the OPC site. The OPC site says it was established in 1858 so it fits the time frame:-

Hi Tina....by 1871 they had left Liverpool and moved out to Anderton, near Bolton. I have the census locating them there
Hi Blue..... your suggestion of Our Lady of the..... sounds pretty good to me. Given its location to Wavertree. I can start there. I'll let you know if its the right place. Cheers!
I don't know if these records will be in the Liverpool Record Office you could always use the contact information on the website below to ask about the availability of the registers:-
