There is an online Church of England Clergy database www.theclergydatabase.org.uk/ for early clergy. The clergy database is better on early periods than more recent times, and is far from complete, though ongoing.

Crockford's Clerical Directory libraries/record offices often have older editions and is better from mid-Victorian days, and summarises careers of C of E clergy, so worth looking at a few editions if you can find them.
