Clarke, McLeod, Pendleton (Liverpool and I.O.M.) Coltham, Cowley, Nickson, Huyton, Grisdale, Quirk, Knowles, Street, Howard. Knubley.
Adam J Pharo
There would almost certainly have been an inquest into Adam's death and there's a chance the Coroner's Office record is still available. Could be more information as well if an autopsy was performed and including possibly to whom the remains were released to for burial.

And very possibly a write up in the Liverpool Echo, however this date wouldn't be available online, but they are at the Liverpool Record Office.

He already has a copy of the inquest report. He died in the Northern Hospital. I have done a search of all the Cemetery records and I was unable to locate him. I was thinking about the possibility of him being sent back to his homeland? I will have another go just to make sure I didnt miss him.

Thanks girls for the information.
Bearing in mind that I suppose there is a possibility that he wasn't buried in Liverpool, but the body may have been sent back home - or somewhere, could it be possible that there may be an undertaker still in existence now that was then and might still have records available? and would it have been an undertaker who would have arranged this?

It would be worth finding a report of the accident in the Echo to see if it mentions any relatives in Liverpool. If there were no relatives it would be a Corpy burial wouldn't it? I find it hard to believe his remains would have been sent back to SA during wartime. Perhaps he was cremated?MaryA wrote:And very possibly a write up in the Liverpool Echo, however this date wouldn't be available online, but they are at the Liverpool Record Office.
